Big Feelings is a weekly newsletter/digital diary about connection, loneliness, polyamory and the internet.
My name is Alicia Bunyan-Sampson, but these days most people know me as Polyamorous Black Girl. I am a failure of an independent filmmaker, a registered social worker, writer, trauma babe and weirdo.
I’ve been online for a long time sharing a host of embarrassing details about my life and important things I’ve learned along the way. Theres something really special to me about putting yourself out there, and allowing others to see you.
The past few years have been incredibly complicated for me, and I have been writing and sharing less and less. I have been overwhelmed by life, and so I’ve stopped doing the things that bring me joy. I think they call that depression.
With Big Feelings you can expect just about anything and everything. From long form pieces about all the things I hate about the polyamorous influencing community to video essays on my favourite queer platonic relationships in film/tv to notes on why I think nobody wants to be in partnership with me and how sad and happy it all makes me.
Whether you’re here because you enjoy my content on polyamory, or because you remember me from a podcast that used to exist or because you dislike me and want more reasons to continue feeling that way… I am really happy you’re here.
The full magic of Big Feelings can be experienced if you subscribe (I understand if you can’t, everything is very expensive and the world is burning, its a lot. ) For $4 a month or $41 a year you will have full access to weekly posts, secret videos, livestreams, exclusive collabs, AMAs and more. Subscribing will also help me take care of myself, which has been increasingly more difficult since I lost my job almost a year ago now due to anti-black racism and my support of Palestine.
